Weininger was created in Vienna. By 1898 he studied philosophy, biology, physics, psychology, and math in the University of Vienna. He rejected his first positivistic perspective, also, determined by, amongst others, Plato, Kant, St. Augustine, Neoplatonism, and Wagner, he converted to Protestantism the afternoon he obtained his Ph.D. in 1902. Then he wrote his main work, Geschlecht und Charakter (1903; Gender and Personality , 1906), a philosophical justification of man excellence expressing misogynistic and antisemitic views. Following its publication, he sank into a profound melancholy, culminating in his suicide, in age 23, in exactly the identical home where Beethoven had expired. Soon after his passing, his unpublished essays and aphorisms emerged under the name Ueber die letzten Dinge (19041) and at another version with a biographical introduction by Moriz Rappaport (19072). Back in 1990 Weininger's collected letters and works appeared under the name Eros und Psyche (1990), ed. From H. Rodlauer. Weininger's Geschlecht und Charakter became renowned after his passing; after Max Nordau's talk of it at the Vossische Zeitung, it'd nearly 30 variations in German (Spiritual erectile dysfunction. 1953). Weininger's concept relies on a basic relationship between character and sex. Every human being is a blend of female and male components. He saw Person because the positive, effective, logical, conceptual, moral, religious power capable of genius, while Woman is the unwanted individual, incapable of one of these virtues. Woman is interested only in sexual enjoyment (that the Prostitute) or at procreation (the Mother). Because of this, the perfect Woman is determined by celebrities, on the Phallus, and her emancipation, in addition to the religious advancement of Man, depends upon finishing coitus.
In his discussion of Judaism, Weininger watched the features of the Jew as much worse than those Woman. The Jew is a power that exists within individuals, not only in person Jews (it is located also in non-Jews). The drawback of this Jew in comparison to Woman is that the latter believes in the Man while the Jew believes in nothing. Zionism, Weininger maintained, could only come about following the rejection of Judaism, because Jews couldn't grasp the concept of a state. The Egyptian faith he viewed as belief , compared to the positive religion he found in Christianity. Weininger's perspectives mixed elements of romanticism, Wagnerianism, Nietzscheanism, contemporary psychology, and mathematics, together with lots of original insights. His remarks and arguments were taken over by aliens as justification for their own views. Following the war the mindset towards Weininger's job and figure shifted from an ideological usage of his thoughts towards a search for an comprehension of his own ideas and behaviour within the frame of the humanities and social sciences.
